Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti
is set to present to his EU colleagues at Ecofin in Brussels
Monday Italy's proposal for a European Initiative for Security
and Industrial Innovation' to mobilize private investments in
strategic sectors of defense, security and protection without
increasing public debt, sources at the Ministry of Economy and
Finance said.
The idea is to strengthen the component of the Member States in
InvestEu, improving the effectiveness of EU guarantees to
attract private capital.
It should mobilize around 200 billion in private investments in
3-5 years, using a public guarantee of 16.7 billion euros.
