The Court of Assizes of Frosinone on
Monday sentenced Roberto Toson to life imprisonment and his son
Mattia to 24 years of imprisonment, after they were found guilty
of the murder of Thomas Bricca, a 19-year-old killed with a
gunshot to the head fired on the evening of January 30, 2023
while he was with a group of friends in the historic center of
Alatri south of Rome.
Bricca was shot dead at close range in a Mob-style hit in the
picturesque town by two masked persons riding a black T-Max
scooter.
The shot hit him in the head and Bricca died after two
days in hospital.
It was suspected that the hit could have been a score-settling
attack after recent brawls between gangs of youths in the town
or a case of mistaken identity.
It proved to be the latter, the court said.
