Third-party car-insurance premiums
rose an average of 12.6% in Italy between January 2021 and July
2024, insurance supervisory authority Ivass said on Monday.
It said that this was lower than the average rise reported in
the EU as a whole of 19.6% between January 2022 and July 2024.
It said that the nominal increases in Italy were 6.1% and 5% in
2023 and 2024 respectively.
It added that the between 2014 and 2021 the average premium for
motor liability insurance had fallen by 25.3% in nominal terms
and by 29.7% in real terms.
