The delegations of Brothers of Italy
(FdI), Forza Italia (FI) and the Democratic Party (PD), with the
exception of Marco Tarquinio and Cecilia Strada, voted
unanimously in favour of the final European Parliament
resolution on EU support for Ukraine, even though it contained
the controversial point 8 on the use of Western weapons on
Russian soil, which they had previously voted against.
The delegations of the League, 5-Star Movement, and the
Green-Left Alliance (AVS) voted against the final resolution.
Most of the Italian MEPs therefore voted in favour of western
missiles being fired into Russia although they had previously
voted against this.
