Pope Francis was always alert while
suffering a fresh bronchospasm crisis as he battles pneumonia
Friday and he was given non-invasive maneuvers, the Vatican said
Friday.
"The Holy Father was promptly bronchoaspirated and began
non-invasive mechanical ventilation, with a good response on gas
exchange", said the press office.
During the therapeutic maneuvers "the Holy Father always
remained alert and oriented and collaborated", the press office
specified.
