Italy's Federica Brignone continued
her hot form and consolidated her lead at the top of the overall
World Cup standings by winning the Giant Slalom race in Aare,
Sweden, on Saturday.
It is the 36th World Cup win of the 34-year-old's career and her
ninth of the season.
She has 1294 points, 322 more than her nearest rival Lara
Gut-Behrami of Switzerland, who came ninth on Saturday.
Brignone's teammate Sofia Goggia crashed out on the second run
after she was behind her in second at the end of the first.
