Italy's Federica Brignone won a World
Cup Super-G in Norway Sunday taking her closer to her second
overall World Cup title.
Brignone conquered her eighth victory of the season, and the
record 35th of her career, in the superG of Kvitfjell.
The 34-year-old Aosta Valley athlete beat into second place Lara
Gut-Behrami, extending her lead over her Swiss rival in the
World Cup standings even further, to 1194 points against 943.
Italy also enjoyed the third place of Sofia Goggia, on her 60th
podium, which arrived after a series of unlucky races.
