The Italian Embassy in Kenya organised yesterday in its Nairobi headquarters the fourth appointment of the 'Business Café,' the quarterly meeting with Italian entrepreneurs in the country, organised by Ambassador Roberto Natali. At yesterday's meeting, the Italian private sector in Kenya met with representatives of civil society organisations operating in various areas of cooperation and voluntary work.
In addition to the diplomat, the meeting was attended by the regent of the Nairobi office of the Development Cooperation Agency, Valeria Boninfante, in the presence of a good number of compatriots. During the 'Business Café', possible synergies between the various components of Italian entrepreneurship in Kenya were explored, from the hospitality sector to the maritime one, from agribusiness to healthcare, especially in the field of training qualified Kenyan personnel.
"It would be important to succeed in finding fruitful understandings between the world of cooperation and that of the private sector, also in light of the opportunities that have opened up thanks to the Mattei Plan. Possibilities that are, moreover, regulated by law. Cooperation represents a large part of our government's activity in Kenya, and our private sector in this country constitutes an important value. A synergy in the field of training can be useful for the growth of both realities,' Natali said.
