Iraq's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the Italian Ambassador to Baghdad, Niccolò Fontana, a few days ago. During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and further promote joint cooperation in various sectors, in addition to discussing the latest regional and international developments of common interest.
The latest developments in the situation in Ukraine were also at the centre of the talks, while the two sides exchanged views on the consequences of the crisis and its impact on international security and stability, emphasising the importance of strengthening diplomatic efforts to find peaceful solutions to existing conflicts.
