The presentation of the new Fiat Grande Panda model took place yesterday at the DoubleTree/Hilton Schönbrunn Hotel in Vienna, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador in Austria Giovanni Pugliese and the top management of Stellantis in Austria. The Abarth600 model and the new Fiat 500e Armani were also presented during the evening, adding to the Stellantis group's range of vehicles.
As Ambassador Pugliese recalled, "Fiat represents one of the most immediately recognisable symbols of Made in Italy, even abroad, and one of the most iconic brands of that 'Italian way of life' that is synonymous with high quality of life and is enormously successful all over the world. With their refined design and at the same time practical, compact and manageable, Fiat cars have offered generations of drivers in Italy and around the world an intelligent and classy mobility solution through small cars capable of offering high performance and driving pleasure in smaller dimensions, to the advantage of a versatility that has few competitors".
"Made in Italy does not only mean history and tradition," continued the ambassador, "but also innovation and constant research to raise the bar in terms of the quality of what we offer, with particular attention to environmental sustainability." Yesterday's event was also an opportunity to recall the importance of the automotive sector's impact on the environment, in which the new Fiat Grande Panda, thanks to the variety of engines available, represents a model of 'green car' that can make an important contribution to decarbonisation.
The ambassador was also keen to recall his personal link with the Fiat brand, having contributed, in his previous role as Italian ambassador to Algeria, to the opening of a group plant in Oran.
