The Italian Ambassador to Sofia, Giuseppina Zarra, met with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria, Prof. Assoc. Silvi Kirilov, to review the prospects of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of oncological prevention, continuing in the wake of the talks initiated with the visit to Sofia of the Italian Minister of Health, Prof. Orazio Schillaci, on 5 March 2024. The meeting was also attended by the director of the European Coordination and International Cooperation Directorate, Katya Ivkova.
In particular,' the embassy reported in a note, 'the meeting focused on promoting the exchange of knowledge, best practices and innovative approaches to improve cancer prevention where there is ample room for cooperation between the two countries.
