The Italian Embassy in Hanoi, in cooperation with the Asian Film Festival in Rome, presented the Italian Film Festival 2024, which will take place in Hanoi from 23 to 28/09/2024.
Promoting Italian culture through cinema, the Festival presents six of the most recent and acclaimed films by Italian directors, winners of many prestigious awards. The images of Matteo Garrone, Michele Riondino, Neri Marcorè, Carlo Sironi, Marco Bellocchio and Alice Rohrwacher, ranging from reality to dreams, from humour to despair, offer a privileged glimpse into the multifaceted modern Italian society, touching on important political, economic and social issues such as migration flows and working conditions.
It will be possible to discuss them with the artistic director of the Asian Film Festival in Rome and the Hanoi Italian Film Festival, Antonio Termenini, during the question and answer session that will take place after each screening.
Within the framework of the festival, a talk show has also been organised for Wednesday 25 September at the Italian promotion centre Casa Italia, on the theme "Bringing films to international festivals: why and how?" with the participation of artistic director Antonio Termenini who, together with other guests, will discuss how to make a film a success on the international film scene.
