The Ambassador of Italy to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, visited the Minister of Culture and Media, Nina Obuljen Korzinec. The conversation reviewed the excellent state of bilateral cooperation, thanks to the implementation of the Executive Programme of Cooperation in the fields of Culture and Education 2022 - 2026, the growing contribution of Croatian institutions in support of the Italian national community, and the valuable support provided by the 'Italian Blue Helmets for Culture' for the preservation of the local cultural heritage damaged by the earthquake of 2020. On this, the Minister, who said she was very grateful to Italy, anticipated that an initiative is planned in Zagreb at the end of October to which an Italian delegation will be invited. The meeting revealed a common desire to strengthen cooperation in various fields, from film-making to the translation of literary works. Satisfaction was also expressed for the fruitful dialogue between Italy and Croatia within international bodies, starting with UNESCO.
Finally, the meeting was an opportunity to illustrate the numerous cultural initiatives that the Embassy will organise by the end of the year, highlighting the fundamental role played in this regard by the Italian Institute of Culture in Zagreb throughout Croatia.
