The group of young leaders participating in the 2024 edition of the Young Leaders Programme, an initiative born from the Memorandum of Understanding of 27 April 2023 signed by the Italian and British governments, is in London to make several institutional visits to the UK.
The programme includes Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, the Foreign Office, the Houses of Parliament, the British Museum, the V&A, the inauguration of Frieze Sculpture in Regents Park and a networking event at the Italian Embassy with the Italian-British business community on the sidelines of the meeting organised yesterday by the Chamber of Commerce and Intesa Sanpaolo on critical raw materials.
The visit to the British capital ended with a meeting in the residence of Ambassador Inigo Lambertini, before passing the baton to the stage in Rome, scheduled for late November in conjunction with the Pontignano Forum. Last 4 September, Lambertini had organised an event with one of the leaders, the journalist Gabriele Carrer, on the theme of disinformation, and preparations are underway for Italy at Frieze, an initiative to promote Italian art in London in collaboration with Frieze, of which another leader, Nathan Clemens Gillespie, is director.
