Cristiano Cannarsa, the CEO of public
IT agency Sogei, is under investigation in Rome, sources said on
Tuesday.
Finance police searched Cannarsa's home and offices to get
evidence for the probe, the sources said.
Cannarsa's case is linked to that of Paolino Iorio, the former
general manager of the State-owner company, who was arrested
last year after allegedly being caught red handed taking a
15,000-euros bribe from an entrepreneur in relation to a
contract.
Cannarsa is being probed following statements made by Iorio, who
recently made a request to plea-bargain a three-year term, over
a proposed contract worth 1.5 million euros for a cybersecurity
and AI company.
