The Milan stock exchange's FTSE Mib
index was down 3% in the early afternoon of Tuesday amid fears
about the impact of tariffs United States President Donald Trump
is set to impose on European imports.
Among the stocks that suffered the biggest losses were
Stellantis (down 8,6%), Iveco (-5.6%), Stm (-5.4%) and Unicredit
(-4.9%).
Europe's other stock markets were down too, with Frankfurt
shedding 2.5%, Madrid 2.3%, Paris 1.6% and London 0.6%.
