Italy's GDP grew by 0.2% in the
second trimester of 2024 compared to the previous quarter when
it registered a 0.3% increase, according to preliminary
estimates released by national statistics bureau Istat on
Tuesday, after adjustments for calendar effects.
The variation was attributed to a synthesis of the decrease in
added value of the agricultural, forestry and fishing sector, as
well as industry, and an increase of the services sector.
In tendential terms, Italy GDP expanded by 0.9% in the second
quarter, Istat said.
