Italy's Dominik Paris on Friday won
the downhill race in Kvitfjell.
Paris clinched his first victory of the season in 1min 44.67sec.
The skier, who will turn 36 on April 14, scored the 23rd success
of his career making him the fastest Italian downhiller.
His last victory dated back to December 2023 in Val Gardena.
Paris, who clinched his fourth victory on the Olympiabakken
slope at Kvitfjell, beat Switzerland's champion Marco Odermatt
and Stefan Rogentin.
Odermatt was 0.32sec behind Paris but increased his lead in the
World Cup discipline standings.
The downhillers will compete again on Saturday in Kvitfjell and
end their season in the finals in Sun Valley, Idaho, scheduled
on March 22.
