There will never be an EU army led by
a "mad" French President Emmanuel Macron, Deputy Premier,
Transport Minister and right-wing League party leader Matteo
Salvini said Friday amid French-led moves to set up a European
army and possibly send peacekeepers to police a future Ukraine
peace deal.
"The European army commanded by that madman Macron who talks
about nuclear war, no, never", said Salvini after the French
leader offered France's nuclear umbrella to protect the Union
against possible future Russian threats.
