Campari CEO Matteo Fantacchiotti has
resigned with immediate effect after a six-month stint in the
role, the Italian beverages group said in a statement on
Wednesday.
"It has been a privilege for me to be part of the Campari Group
for nearly five years and to lead this organization since April
2024", said Fantacchiotti, who had previously served as the
managing director of the company's Asia-Pacific area.
Shares in the company went down by 6% in early trade Wednesday.
His statements on Friday on the weakness of the US spirits
industry during a meeting with investors coincided with a 5.6%
drop in shares.
