Maria Rosaria Boccia, the
businesswoman at the centre of a scandal that led to the
resignation of culture minister Gennario Sangiuliano, has been
denied access to the Lower House for violating a rule
prohibiting to take photos and videos within the building
without prior authorization, Lower House sources said Tuesday.
The decision was taken by the Lower House's security committee,
chaired by Sergio Costa.
The sources added that the violation concerned particularly
sensitive locations such as the Gallery of Presidents.
